DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern head coach Ray Richards has announced the addition of 23 signees to the 2013 signing class on Wednesday afternoon.
The Savage Storm once again delved heavily into Texas for its newest additions, signing 19 of the 23 players out of the state.
Four of the signees hail from Oklahoma, three of which are from the southeastern corner of the state.
Quarterback
Payton Bond makes the move from Madill, Okla., while offensive lineman
Dalton Julian transitions from Broken Bow, and fellow lineman
Austin Jennings hails from Harrah, Okla.
Defensively the lone Oklahoma signee is Hugo native
Kameron Cooper who was a defensive back for HHS.
Jake Walters is the lone special teams addition and will make one of the shortest trips to campus despite being from Texas as he crosses the Red River from Denison, Texas.
In all, 15 new signees will come in on the offensive side of the ball, while six join on defense with one special teams addition.
The offensive line is the unit that received the most new additions with five new players joining the ranks in 2013.
The team also added four tight ends and three wide receivers along with a quarterback and a running back.
SE will add a pair of defensive ends as well as a pair of cornerbacks, while adding a defensive tackle and a safety.
The class also includes
Bobby Jackson from Cedar Hill, Texas, who comes to SE listed as an athlete and will be looking for a position home.
