Jason Byrd joined the Savage Storm sports performance staff as the assistant director in August of 2023 and works primarily with baseball, men's basketball, and cheer and sparks.

Prior to coming to Southeastern he was the assistant strength coach for Webber International University where he worked with baseball, track and field, cross country, and women's beach volleyball.

Byrd spent the summer of 2022 with Ole Miss where he worked with the football program, specifically with their catapult data collection and analysis.

Prior to Ole Miss, he would start his strength and conditioning career at Harding beginning in 2021 where he worked with football, softball, tack and field, cross country, and women's soccer,m and worked directly with catapult and playertek data within the programs.

 Byrd owns a FMS-L1 certification and has a bachelor's and a master's degree from Harding in strength and conditioning.
